New Canadian Experience Class Draw Sees CRS Score Drop To 452

More than 3,311 candidates have been issued an invitation to apply in the latest Canada Experience Class draw. Candidates with valid express entry profile and are registered under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 452 to qualify for an invitation.

this draw is the lowest draw so far for this year when compared to April 29 draw which issued 589 invitations to candidates with at least a CRS score of 692. A tie-breaking rule was applied in this draw. If more than one candidate had the minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada stated earlier that it will continue to issue invitations to PNP and CEC candidates, and with this latest draw, they have also shown they plan to continue in that trend.

We are not sure how long the IRCC plan to limit the invitation to PNP and CEC candidates in response to COVID-19.  Many of the PNP and CEC candidates are already living and working in Canada, and they do not require any permission crossing the border or having any quarantine. Another reason for continuing the PNP invitations is to ensure that the provinces meet up with their annual allocation.

What will happen to Other programs in Canada?

IRCC has made it clear that it will not be refusing new applications, and applications submitted with incomplete documents will still be accepted but the applicants will be giving a 60 day period to provide the missing documents, after that period all documents will be treated as it is.

Applicants who also submit incomplete documents as a result of COVID-19 must provide written explanations and evidence of why they are not able to provide those documents.

IRCC however, is still processing already submitted immigration applications for express entry and other programs. But, the draws, for now, are just restricted to just PNP and CEC candidates.

Please note that biometrics letters will still state that biometrics are due in 30 days, but IRCC will allow 90 days for the submission of biometrics.
